Mauritius {Exploring}

Those of you that know me, know that I love traveling and photography, so combining the two just makes sense. This year I am lucky to travel for work, and take my family with me! Will share more of that soon. But now, I am excited to share a very special trip to Mauritius where I had the opportunity to create content for a few brands and a magnificent single use plastic free, zero waste hotel. Let’s dive in!

We where greeted at the door of the Salt of Palmar hotel with a lovely, spicy, aromatic welcome drink. Asked to download they SALT app for free so we can use our phones to access our room, yup, no plastic cards! The app had useful info on the hotel, and surrounding areas. Menu’s, spa menu’s and other activities.

In our room, we received the cutest bamboo flip-flops and a water canister to keep. Wow I felt special. The most mind-blowing part was that the hotel has water springs all over with still and sparkling water, a buffet of fruit to infuse your water with, and bamboo straws!!! I really enjoyed their all natural, self made body scrubs, moisturisers and other cosmetics in our room made from local ingredients.

The food was exhilarating, we had a traditional Mauritian curry, with an incredible view.

The next day after breakfast, we where treated to a Mauritian tea on their rooftop bar, where we could see kilometres of shore line. This gave us some energy to jump on a paddle board and explore the beautiful turquoise sea and get some exercise.

SALT of Palmar is truly at the top of my list and I will be returning there in the future. Have a look at their gorgeous vibrant decor and our beautiful photos we accumulated.
